We're looking for a Senior Shopify Platform & Integrations Engineer who has personally built and deployed Shopify Apps in production and can take ownership of the Shopify platform.
Key ResponsibilitiesShopify Platform Ownership
- Own and maintain Togethr's Shopify App ecosystem.
- Design, build, and improve Shopify integrations and merchant onboarding flows.
- Manage Shopify OAuth, App Extensions, Webhooks, and GraphQL integrations.
- Ensure platform reliability across active merchants.
Checkout & Merchant Integrations
- Work with Shopify Checkout, Shop Pay, GoKwik, Shopflo, Razorpay, and similar checkout providers.
- Troubleshoot checkout-related attribution and tracking issues.
- Build resilient systems capable of handling integration failures.
Attribution & Tracking Infrastructure
- Build and maintain customer journey tracking systems.
- Improve attribution accuracy and data integrity.
- Investigate and resolve tracking discrepancies and missing attribution scenarios.
Technical Ownership
- Investigate production incidents and identify root causes.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and recovery mechanisms.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Client Success teams.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain 99%+ webhook processing reliability.
- Improve attribution accuracy across Shopify merchants.
- Reduce merchant onboarding dependency on engineering teams.
- Minimise attribution loss across checkout providers.
- Improve platform stability and integration reliability.
- Reduce merchant-reported technical issues and escalations.
- Deliver scalable Shopify solutions supporting growing merchant volume.
RequirementsMust Have
- 4–8 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying Shopify Apps.
- Experience with Shopify OAuth, Webhooks, GraphQL APIs, and Admin APIs.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and event-driven systems.
- Experience debugging and managing production systems.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership.
Someone who can independently investigate issues, identify root causes, and improve systems rather than execute assigned tasks.
- Candidates with only Shopify theme development experience are unlikely to be a fit for this role.
