Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Ship Broker role with one of India's most well-established shipping companies, based in Mumbai. The Senior Ship Broker will be responsible for managing the daily trading, brokerage, and freight activities of the company. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with clients, negotiating freight rates, drafting charter parties and fixture notes, maintaining a smooth dialogue with owners and charterers, managing vessel fixtures, providing market intelligence on global commodity and trade activities, and ensuring client satisfaction. The candidate will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to analyse market trends, secure contracts, and identify new business opportunities.

Knowledge and experience

• Strong expertise in Brokerage and Trading related to the shipping industry
• Comprehensive understanding of International Trade dynamics
• Knowledge and experience of Dry bulk chartering
• Exceptional negotiation and client relationship management skills
• Excellent communication and networking skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Proven experience in ship brokerage
