Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled
Senior ServiceNow Developer with strong expertise in the
Security Operations (SecOps) module. This role involves leading the design, development, and implementation of security-centric solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have deep platform knowledge, hands-on experience with both out-of-the-box and custom SecOps functionalities, and a proven background in building catalog items and integrations for security workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow SecOps modules, including Security Incident Response (SIR), Vulnerability Response (VR), and Threat Intelligence (TI).
- Develop and customize Service Catalog items specific to security use cases, including dynamic forms, workflows, and automation.
- Configure and enhance OOB SecOps functionalities; implement custom components where required.
- Collaborate with SOC teams, security analysts, and stakeholders to refine technical requirements.
- Develop client-side and server-side scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Scheduled Jobs).
- Design and implement REST/SOAP integrations with third-party security tools and platforms.
- Enforce secure development practices, RBAC controls, and platform governance.
- Participate in Agile development processes and mentor junior developers.
- Document technical solutions, configurations, and changes for knowledge sharing and audits.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on expertise with ServiceNow SecOps modules: Security Incident Response, Vulnerability Response, Threat Intelligence.
- Proficiency in Service Catalog development and workflow automation (Flow Designer, Workflow Editor).
- Strong scripting skills (JavaScript client/server).
- Experience in REST and SOAP-based integrations with external security tools.
- Skilled in enforcing RBAC, creating ACLs, and applying secure coding practices.
- Familiar with Scoped Application development, update sets, and platform lifecycle management.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist SecOps
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
- Knowledge of Threat frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, STIX/TAXII)
- Familiarity with Vulnerability and risk scoring standards (CVSS, NVD)
- Experience integrating with security tools such as Tenable, Qualys, Splunk, CrowdStrike
