Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Server Engineer to join our high-performing IT infrastructure team. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining our Windows Server environments, VMware virtualization platforms, and enterprise backup solutions using Veeam. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in hybrid cloud deployments, disaster recovery planning, and system optimization to ensure high availability, security, and compliance across our infrastructure.

Our infrastructure team operates with a collaborative, solutions-first mindset—working closely with cross-functional IT and business stakeholders to ensure systems are reliable, secure, and scalable. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong documentation discipline, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)

• Deploy, configure, and manage VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter); implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions

• Design and implement backup strategies using Veeam Backup & Replication; perform recovery testing and manage backup repositories

• Configure and manage Microsoft Azure services (VMs, storage, networking, Azure AD); implement hybrid cloud solutions integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resources to ensure uptime and reliability

• Apply security best practices, manage patching schedules, and ensure compliance with IT policies and regulatory standards

• Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, procedures, and changes

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in systems administration with a focus on Windows Server and VMware environments

• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs)

• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud deployments

• Expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication and enterprise disaster recovery planning

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent communication and documentation abilities

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate

• VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)

• Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)
