Be aware of NCASP regulations and AVSEC Orders & Circulars, particularly with respect to the implementation of AVSEC Order 3/2009 & 5/2009 and contingency plans.
Ensure implementation of the Air India Security Program.
Implement all laid-down security measures issued by BCAS, Air India Security HQs, and regulatory authorities of concerned foreign stations (e.g., TSA-USA, DfT - UK, CATSA - Canada, Danish Civil Aviation & Railway Authority - EU stations, Department of Home Affairs - Australia, GACA - Saudi Arabia, etc.).
Ensure meticulous implementation of all AVSEC functions by external security service providers and monitor all security aspects of Air India flight operations.
Maintain close liaison with the security service provider and share relevant regulations and information as required for AOSP implementation.
Liaise with local airport security agencies and ensure adherence to directives from the Civil Aviation Security authority of the respective State.
Follow up with GHAs to ensure personnel providing services to Air India are appropriately trained as per national regulations (e.g., SAP) and maintain records for audit purposes.
Attend airport security meetings and any other civil aviation security-related meetings.
Ensure timely renewal of security contracts with GHAs at respective stations.
Conduct surprise or spot checks to assess the effectiveness and alertness of security service provider personnel.
Verify that all GHA-engaged security personnel hold necessary certifications as per national aviation security agency requirements.
Maintain proper records of security seals at the respective stations.
Maintain liaison with the Embassy of India to stay updated on threat perception and implement appropriate safeguards.
Notify the appropriate authority on any threats or alerts issued by BCAS, MHA, MEA, or received from Air India Security HQs.
Be well-versed with the local Airport Emergency Plan, Airport Security Program, Airline Security Program, and National Civil Aviation Security Program.
Ensure the protection and safe handling of all secret and security-sensitive information; share with external providers only on a need-to-know basis.
Safeguard Air India's IT systems at foreign stations to prevent leaks of sensitive information.
Report any incidents related to security, airline operations, or functional matters to the CSO and Station Manager.
Prepare corrective action plans for audit/inspection findings and ensure timely compliance.
Submit AOSP and SSP (Station Security Program) and follow up with national security agencies.
Provide quarterly audit reports, MIS, Safety Performance Index (SPI) reports, and monthly station security reports to Security HQs.
Be available for prompt response during emergencies or exigencies related to airline operations and submit incident reports.
Carry out any other additional responsibilities assigned from time to time as standalone projects or part of regular work, agreed upon with the reporting officer and HR.
