About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Senior Security Engineer – Azure to join our team and take ownership of cloud security, infrastructure protection, threat monitoring, and security operations across Microsoft Azure environments.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Azure security services, cloud security controls, IAM, SIEM, vulnerability management, and incident response, along with a good understanding of enterprise security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across Microsoft Azure environments.
• Monitor and secure Azure infrastructure, applications, networks, and cloud workloads.
• Manage and implement Azure security services, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Key Vault, Azure Firewall, NSGs, and related security solutions.
• Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including RBAC, MFA, Conditional Access, and privileged access controls.
• Monitor security events, investigate alerts, and respond to security incidents.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation of security vulnerabilities.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Perform security assessments of cloud infrastructure and identify potential risks and misconfigurations.
• Work closely with DevOps, Infrastructure, Network, and Application teams to implement DevSecOps and secure cloud deployments.
• Support security audits, compliance requirements, and risk assessments.
• Participate in threat hunting, log analysis, and root-cause analysis of security incidents.
• Automate security monitoring and operational tasks using scripting or relevant tools where required.
• Stay updated with emerging cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and Azure security best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or security engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure security.

• Good knowledge of:
• Microsoft Defender for Cloud
• Microsoft Sentinel / SIEM
• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Azure RBAC and IAM
• Azure Firewall and Network Security Groups
• Azure Key Vault
• Security monitoring and logging

• Experience in incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, and security assessment.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking and security concepts.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, and Zero Trust.
• Familiarity with scripting/automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
