Senior Security Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer with focus on Al/ML to secure cloud environments with Al applications, designing secure architectures by automating security with ML for threat detection, and ensuring data privacy/compliance.

Oracle Applications Lab (OAL) team builds and manages a suite of corporate applications, integrated cloud services cloud environment on OC!.

The role blends with cloud security engineering with strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, DevSecOps with expertise in programming, automation tools, and analytical thinking and applied machine learning techniques.

Required Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Security or relevant technical field involving coding or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of total experience with 3+ in security and in software development
• Experience in Python, secure coding, IAM, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
• Demonstrated ability to write great code using Java, C#, C++ or similar Object-oriented languages
• Experience working on large-scale, highly distributed services infrastructure

Preferred Qualification:

• Deep understanding of cloud security areas - IAM, networking, encryption, logging/monitoring, container/orchestration security
• Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership, and drive
• Knowledge on Security Operation / SOC analysis
• Good understanding of concepts related to Docker, containerization, server-less computing
• Tools that focus on detecting and responding to threats at the endpoint level (CrowdStrike Falcon, SentinelOne)

• Develop and integrate Al/ML based detection and response capabilities
• Design and implement secure engineering practices using languages such as Python, Terraform, SQL, and Java/C++
• Apply AI/ML to automate anomaly detection, alert triage, build dashboard with risk/metrics
• Build pipelines for large set of security events and provide a sound threat intelligence report
• Proactive controls to evaluate SIEM (security information and event management) events
