We are looking for a strong SDET / QA Automation Engineer who can own quality across manual testing, automation, API validation, performance testing, security checks, and CI/CD quality gates.

This role is not limited to test execution.

It requires strong test ownership, automation engineering, risk based thinking, and the ability to improve release confidence.

What You'll Do

• Define and maintain test strategy for assigned platform modules

• Create test plans covering scope, approach, test data, environments, entry criteria, exit criteria, and release risks

• Design smoke, regression, integration, end to end, negative, and exploratory test suites

• Build and maintain automation using TypeScript, Node.js, and Playwright

• Validate dynamic UI generation, conditional logic, computed fields, workflow branching, feature flags, and configuration driven behavior

• Perform schema validation, metadata versioning checks, backward compatibility testing, and migration testing

• Validate RBAC, authorization rules, tenant isolation, and secure access boundaries

• Implement API functional, negative, contract, and integration tests

• Use mocking and service virtualization to create deterministic test scenarios

• Build performance and load tests with defined thresholds

• Integrate automation into Azure DevOps pipelines with quality gates

• Publish test results, artifacts, traces, screenshots, and videos for faster triage

• Track quality metrics such as coverage, defect escape rate, flakiness, and time to feedback

• Provide release readiness summaries with known issues, residual risks, and recommendations

Required Skills

• 6+ years of relevant experience in QA / SDET roles

• Strong ownership across manual testing and automation testing

• Strong experience writing test plans, test cases, and comprehensive test suites for complex systems

• Hands on automation experience with Playwright, TypeScript, and Node.js

• Strong experience in UI and end to end automation testing

• Strong API testing experience using REST and/or GraphQL services

• Experience with CI/CD quality gates and pipeline based test execution

• Strong debugging, root cause analysis, and defect reporting skills

• Ability to reduce flaky tests and improve automation stability

• Strong communication skills and release quality ownership

Good to Have

• Experience testing metadata driven or highly configurable platforms

• Experience with dynamic forms, workflow engines, rules engines, or low code platforms

• Contract testing experience using Pact / Pact JS and a contract broker

• Performance testing experience with k6, JMeter, or Locust

• Security testing familiarity with OWASP ZAP baseline and API scanning

• Accessibility automation experience using axe core

• Docker based test environments and deterministic test data seeding

• Experience with environment reset strategies and test isolation
