We are looking for an enthusiastic Test Engineer to work at the forefront of our cloud modernisation, within our Credit & Verification Services. This is a hybrid role requiring travelling to Hyderabad office circa 40% days per month.
Background:
This is an incredibly exciting time for the Experian UKI Region, as we look to build our presence in the UK and Hyderabad and work on a technology transformation to meet our aspiration to significantly scale our business over the next five years. This an opportunity to join Credit & Verification Services on this journey and be part of a collaborative team that uses Agile DevSecOps principles to deliver business value.
Credit and Verification Services currently comprises nearly 100 engineering teams who deliver over 200 products achieving significant revenue per annum for our UK Business.
Role Context:
We're predominantly a .NET focused engineering team, building modern, cloud-native applications using the latest in .NET 8+. All new services are developed with a forward-looking mindset, and we actively evaluate emerging features and tools to continuously improve our engineering practices.
Our architecture is built on Kubernetes (EKS), enabling us to run scalable, resilient microservices in the cloud. On top of this, we leverage a wide range of AWS services (Lambda, Kinesis, Dynamo and RDS to name just a few), to enhance performance, observability, and integration across our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
. Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test scripts based on business requirements.
. Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing.
. Create and maintain test data, test environments, and automation scripts.
. Perform various types of testing:
. White Box testing
. Black Box testing
. Integration testing
. UI testing
. API Testing
. 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in a quality engineering, software testing, or test automation.
. Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum processes.
. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
. Passion for quality, learning new technologies, and continuous improvement.
. Hands-on experience with UI, API automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST-assured or Postman.
. Proficiency in Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) approaches
. Working knowledge of SQL for data validation.
. Experience in at least one programming/scripting language: Java, Scala, Python, or JavaScript.
. Basic understanding of Containers (Docker) and CI/CD processes.
. Experience with version control systems like Git, Bitbucket, GitHub or Gitlab.
. Working knowledge of API testing, backend validations, and functional automation.
. Clear understanding of defect lifecycle, reporting, and issue tracking tools like Jira.
. Strong collaboration skills and a mindset for quality ownership
Highly Desirable and Useful skills:
. Exposure to AWS services like S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Glue or similar.
. Understanding of Agile delivery frameworks - Scrum or Kanban
. Knowledge of Performance Testing tools
. Basic knowledge of Big Data Testing
