Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Scrum Master with technical acumen to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile principles, the ability to facilitate Scrum ceremonies effectively, and the technical insight to collaborate with development teams on technical challenges. This role requires excellent communication and collaboration skills, alongside the expertise to guide the team in delivering high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Scrum Leadership:

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Ensure adherence to Agile principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Coach the team on Agile methodologies, removing impediments to progress.

Team Collaboration:

  • Act as a servant leader, empowering the team to self-organize and deliver value-driven results.
  • Build strong relationships with Product Owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align goals and expectations.

Technical Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the development team to understand technical challenges, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Partner with architects, developers, and testers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Contribute to technical discussions to help the team balance technical debt and feature delivery.

Delivery Oversight:

  • Track progress against sprint goals and project timelines, leveraging Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Provide transparency to stakeholders through regular reporting and updates.
  • Drive resolution of risks and impediments to maintain team productivity and focus.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for improvement in Agile practices and team processes.
  • Promote a learning culture through retrospectives, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Qualification

  • Strong background in software development, with experience managing Scrum teams of 8+ members.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile Scrum environments.
  • Preferred experience in retail, ecommerce projects.
  • Familiarity with modern technologies, such as cloud computing, Java, microservices, DevOps practices, or APIs, is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects with high availability, scalability, and performance demands.
  • Autonomous project leadership experience across multiple teams with demonstrated critical thinking and thought leadership.
  • Strong ability to build relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and global partners.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Energetic self-starter with a go-getter mentality, driven to achieve results.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results on time.
  • Certifications (preferred):
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent.
  • SAFe, PMI-ACP, or other Agile-related certifications are a plus.
