Job Description - Senior Scrum Master

Who We Are Looking For

The Senior Scrum Master at Crisis24 plays a critical role in enabling high-performing Agile teams focused on delivering secure, scalable, and reliable risk management and threat intelligence products. Supporting teams across Horizon and MassCom, the Senior Scrum Master ensures consistent application of Agile values and practices, drives team maturity, and facilitates continuous improvement across globally distributed teams (North America and India).

What You Will Work On

Team Leadership & Facilitation

  • Lead and support 23 Scrum teams across the Horizon and MassCom product portfolios.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Retrospective.
  • Remove impediments proactively and support the team in meeting sprint and release commitments.
  • Ensure clarity of goals and alignment between engineering, product, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Coaching & Agile Maturity

  • Coach teams on Agile principles and Scrum best practices.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level Scrum Masters to elevate Agile capabilities.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Support team-building initiatives across distributed teams.

Delivery & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and communicate team performance metrics (velocity, throughput, predictability).
  • Identify and address delivery bottlenecks and risks.
  • Guide teams in quarterly planning, release planning, and forecasting.
  • Support implementation of metric dashboards for leadership insights.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Owners to maintain healthy, prioritized backlogs.
  • Coordinate dependencies with Engineering Managers and tech leads across 20+ teams.
  • Communicate progress and risks to leadership with clarity.
  • Support alignment during large initiatives or escalations.

Scaling & Organizational Support

  • Participate in or facilitate scaled Agile ceremonies.
  • Contribute to processes that increase efficiency and collaboration.
  • Support the Agile Coach in evolving Crisis24's Agile operating model

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree or equivalent experience is preferred
  • 58+ years of experience as a Scrum Master

Skills

  • Experience supporting multiple teams in a distributed environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Certifications such as PSM II/III, CSM, CSP-SM, SAFe SSM or SASM.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, risk intelligence, or SaaS.
  • Familiarity with scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus).
  • Background in software engineering or product development.
