About the Role:
We are hiring a Senior Scientific Manager, Clinical to act as a Technical Owner for clinical data programs at Elucidata. You will lead a small team, set the technical direction, and be accountable for delivery quality and timelines. You will partner with product, engineering, data curation, delivery, and customer teams to design standards based clinical data solutions and ensure smooth execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of projects involving clinical trial, EHR/EMR, imaging, registries, and clinical trial datasets.
- Translate client requirements into technical architecture and project plans.
- Define data mapping, transformation, and integration strategies with engineering and curation teams for scalable ingestion and exchange.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, GCP, CDISC).
- Manage cross-functional teams, including data engineers, bioinformaticians, clinical data managers, and imaging scientists.
- Engage with stakeholders to define scope, set priorities and track milestones.
- Review deliverables for accuracy, data quality, and readiness for downstream analysis.
- Participate in client meetings and pre-sales calls.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's/Master's in a related field with 6-7 years of experience delivering technical projects in clinical research, or healthcare.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial workflows and regulatory frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts) and healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, OMOP, CDISC).
- Familiarity with clinical trial data (CRFs, adverse events, lab results), imaging formats (DICOM, WSI) and analysis workflows.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Exposure to multi-omics and biomarker data integration.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and workflow orchestration tools.
- Experience with data quality assurance, metadata management, and governance in regulated environments.
- Strong communication skills for technical and clinical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with real-world data sources (claims, registries, wearables) linked to clinical programs.
- Knowledge of NLP for unstructured clinical data.
- Familiarity with regulatory submission datasets and statistical analysis workflows.
