Job Title: Senior SAP TM (Transportation Management) Consultant

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of transportation and logistics processes across global supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in SAP TM, S/4HANA integration, freight planning, carrier collaboration, and transportation execution, with the ability to drive complex logistics transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Solution Design & Business Consulting

• Conduct requirement gathering workshops with business stakeholders and translate business needs into scalable SAP TM solutions.
• Design and implement Strategic Freight Management, Transportation Planning, and Transportation Execution processes.
• Provide functional specifications and solution recommendations aligned with industry best practices.
  
  

SAP TM Configuration & Implementation

• Configure and customize SAP TM components including:
• Freight Units
• Freight Orders
• Freight Bookings
• Transportation Cockpit
• Planning Profiles and Optimizer Settings
• Lead end-to-end implementation activities including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

Integration Management

• Manage integration between SAP TM and SAP S/4HANA (Embedded or Side-by-Side deployment).
• Work closely with SAP EWM, SD, MM, and Finance teams to ensure seamless process integration.
• Support integration with external logistics and transportation platforms.
  
  

Freight Settlement & Financial Integration

• Design and implement Freight Settlement processes including:
• Cost Distribution
• Freight Cost Management
• Dispute Resolution
• Accruals and Invoicing
• Integrate transportation settlement processes with SAP Finance.

Carrier Collaboration

• Configure and optimize Carrier Collaboration solutions.
• Enable integrations with external visibility and logistics platforms such as project44, Shippeo, and similar networks.
• Support tendering, carrier selection, and transportation procurement processes.
  
  

Technical Collaboration

• Partner with ABAP development teams to define and implement:
• Post Processing Framework (PPF)
• BRF+ Rules and Conditions
• BOPF Enhancements
• Custom Developments and Integrations
• Support issue analysis and troubleshooting across application, data, and integration layers.
  

Required Technical Skills SAP TM Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Transportation Cockpit (Manual Planning)
• Transportation Optimizer (Automated Planning)
• Freight Order Management
• Freight Booking Management
• Freight Settlement
• Tendering and Transportation Procurement

SAP Technical Frameworks

• Strong understanding of:
• BOPF (Business Object Processing Framework)
• BRF+ (Business Rule Framework Plus)
• FBI (Floorplan Manager BOPF Integration)

SAP S/4HANA

• Experience working with Advanced SAP TM in SAP S/4HANA 1909, 2020, 2021, 2022, or 2023 environments.
  
  

Geographical & Logistics Frameworks

• Knowledge of GIS integrations.
• Experience with distance and duration calculations using:
• PCM
• HERE Maps
• Similar geospatial solutions

• Experience in SAP LE-TRA to SAP TM migration is highly preferred.
• SAP TM Certification.
• Experience working in global supply chain transformation programs.
• Exposure to transportation visibility platforms and logistics networks.
• Ability to lead junior consultants and offshore delivery teams.
• Mentor team members and drive project excellence.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain standard SAP capabilities versus custom development trade-offs to business and executive stakeholders.
