About The Role
As a
Senior SAP PP & PP/DS Consultant, you will work with international clients in
Application Management Services (AMS) engagements, providing expertlevel support and continuous improvement for
SAP Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling processes in
SAP S/4HANA. You will act as a key functional expert, supporting business-critical operations, resolving complex issues, and advising clients on best practices in production planning and scheduling.
Location: Bangalore only
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients - provide 2nd and 3rd level SAP support for Production Planning processes, covering SAP PP and PP/DS areas
- Support and advise clients on daily issues, incidents, and functional questions related to production planning and scheduling
- Analyse incidents and problems, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions
- Understand client business process requirements in the area of Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling and translate them into functional solutions
- Configure and support SAP PP processes (MRP-related planning, master data, production execution support)
- Support and maintain PP/DS planning and scheduling scenarios, including capacity-related and detailed scheduling topics where applicable
- Analyse existing processes, identify gaps, and propose continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare and maintain functional documentation and knowledge base articles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, QM, EWM, ABAP) to ensure stable endtoend process integration
- Support functional testing activities related to fixes, enhancements, and small change requests
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted functional advisor
- Stay up to date with the latest SAP solutions and Best Practices
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience in business, analytics, or information technology
- Strong hands-on experience as SAP PP Consultant (SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA) minimum 7 years
- Proven exposure to SAP PP/DS concepts and operational support scenarios
- Solid understanding of manufacturing business processes (discrete and/or process industries)
- Good configuration knowledge (SPRO)
- Experience working in AMS or support-oriented environments; Previous interaction with ticketing tools (JIRA, ServiceNow)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex production planning issues
- Very good English level; Good communication skills and ability to work directly with business users and key users
- Experience working in international, multicultural environments
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA systems in productive environments
- Exposure to capacity planning or detailed scheduling topics in PP/DS
- SAP certification in Production Planning / Manufacturing or PP/DS
- German language is a plus
