Job Description

The SAP PLM Consultant will be responsible for implementing and supporting SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions across full project lifecycles. The role involves working on document management, change management, classification, and CAD integration, as well as supporting data migration, cross-functional integration, and application management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in full lifecycle SAP PLM implementations, with experience in at least 5 projects.
  • Configure and support SAP PLM modules, including Document Management Systems (DMS), Engineering Change Management (ECM), and Classification.
  • Manage CAD integration through SAP ECTR and coordinate with CAD systems.
  • Migrate CAD and change management data from other PLM systems to SAP.
  • Support and configure SAP PLM integration with other modules such as PP-PI, MM, and QM.
  • Configure and maintain BOMs, ECM workflows, and classification structures.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including functional design documents and training materials.
  • Provide support in Application Management processes, including incident management, problem management, and change management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for SAP and non-SAP system integration.
  • Conduct requirement analysis, propose solutions, and provide due diligence for new opportunities.
  • Identify root causes for recurring incidents and propose permanent solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including SMEs, product owners, and senior management.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to team members as needed.

Must-Have Experience

  • Full project implementation experience in at least 5 SAP PLM projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Document Management Systems (DMS), Engineering Change Management (ECM), Classification, and ECTR for CAD integration.
  • Experience in migrating data from other PLM systems to SAP.
  • Knowledge of BOM management, ECM, and classification in SAP PLM.
  • Cross-functional knowledge of SAP integration with other modules (PP-PI, MM, QM).
  • Technical documentation and functional design document preparation skills.
  • Exposure to Application Management Support processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

  • Onsite working experience.
  • Direct interaction with clients and stakeholders for requirement gathering, solution design, and deployment.
  • Team management and leadership experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
