Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide technical governance for SAP BASIS operational activities
- Technically drive and coordinate Installations, Upgrades, System copies, client copies, Kernel patches, SAP security note implementations etc.
- Act as the technical face of Gates for hosting partners, Cloud service providers, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and adherence to standards
- Oversee SAP HANA database administration topics including performance tuning strategy, backup and recovery & system replication
- Own and manage Smart Data Integration to ensure cloud databases remain synchronized and reliable
- Analyze system performance metrics and lead RCA for system slowness and recurring problems
- Manage SAP Transport Management System (TMS) and change governance using SAP ChaRM
- Proactively monitor SAP systems using SAP Cloud ALM and other monitoring tools, driving preventive and corrective actions.
- Manage standard SAP BTP administration activities including platform configuration, CPI integration etc.
- Lead critical incident and problem management activities for production systems.
- Manage L1 & L2 level SAP basis production support.
Keys to Success
- Must be well-versed in SAP systems administration activities and implementing SAP basis best practices;
- Experience with system installations, S4HANA & eco-system platform operations set up, & Perform system monitoring, health checks, tuning, and proactive issue prevention
- Working experience to Install, configure, administer, and support SAP systems / platforms including S4HANA, GTS, SAP BTP, Solman / Cloud ALM, SDI, GRC etc.
- Extensive experience managing SAP system availability, transport, client administration & DR readiness
- Previous experience working in a Global outsourced, managed services environment with blend of onshore and offshore resources.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Leads projects and complexity; develops the strategy for project execution.
Requirements And Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields. Or equivalent work experience.
- 11-15+ years of SAP BASIS experience across complex and distributed SAP landscapes with minimum 2+ Yrs of experience managing SAP S4HANA systems
- Hands-on experience of SAP installations, upgrades, patching, migrations, and system refresh activities
- Experience coordinating with hosting providers and managed service partners in enterprise SAP environments
- Knowledge of SAP SDI replication, SAP BTP administration, and SAP Cloud ALM
- Experience with SAP ChaRM
- Strong analytical, coordination, and stakeholder communication skills.
