Job Title : Senior SAP ABAP Technical Consultant

Job Type : Full-Time

Experience : 8-15 years

Location : Bangalore, Karnataka

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Technical Consultant who has strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, technical design, enhancements, integrations, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA environments and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and high-quality technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP applications based on business and technical requirements.
• Analyze functional specifications and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
• Develop and support Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEF).
• Develop and maintain ABAP Objects, including Classes, Methods, Interfaces, and reusable components.
• Work extensively with ALV, BAPIs, BAdIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, Enhancement Framework, and Function Modules.
• Develop and enhance SAP interfaces using IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Web Services, and other integration technologies.
• Perform ABAP development in SAP S/4HANA environments where applicable.
• Work with CDS Views, AMDP, OData services, and modern ABAP programming concepts.
• Develop and maintain SAP forms using Smart Forms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms.
• Conduct performance analysis and optimization using tools such as ST05, SAT/SE30, SQL Monitor, and runtime analysis.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide timely technical resolutions.
  
  

Required Skills And Experience

• 8 15 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong expertise in ABAP and ABAP Objects.
• Experience with Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Conversions, Forms, and Workflows.
• Strong experience with BAPI, BAdI, User Exits, Customer Exits, RFC, and IDocs.
• Experience with ALV, Function Modules, Dictionary Objects, and Dialog Programming.
• Strong SQL and database concepts.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies and third-party system integrations.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with S/4HANA ABAP development.
• Experience developing AMDP procedures.
• Experience with OData services and SAP Gateway.
• Exposure to RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model) is a plus.
• Experience with Adobe Forms / Smart Forms.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning capabilities.
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager / ChaRM or equivalent change-management tools is a plus.
• Understanding of Fiori/UI5 integration is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of RICEF development.
• Knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP, OData, and modern ABAP development.
• Knowledge of CDS-based data modeling and code pushdown concepts.
