About the Technology & Digital Function:

By joining the Technology team in the GCC you will play a direct role in Officeworks global digital transformation, contributing to world-class SAP and Salesforce capabilities that sit at the heart of how the business operates and grows. The GCC will support Officeworks purpose of helping to bring big ideas to life at low prices, ensuring technology remains a true enabler of customer value and operational excellence.

This opportunity to join as a founding member of the new global hub is a chance to be part of the original build-out of our GCC. Early joiners will influence how the hub operates and help shape the future state of some of Officeworks core technology ecosystem.

Why this role exists:

The Senior Salesforce Developer designs, develops, and maintains scalable, secure, and high-quality Salesforce applications and integrations. As a senior technical lead, this role is critical for establishing development standards, ensuring code quality, and building complex custom solutions that enable business objectives.

Where you will make a difference:

In this role you will:

Development & Engineering:

• Develop high-quality code using Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Build and maintain integrations and custom applications to expand platform capability.
• Own development standards to ensure consistency and maintainability across the Salesforce estate.
• Perform rigorous code reviews and unit testing to uphold quality benchmarks.

Technical Operations & CI/CD:

• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes to drive delivery efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex defects, including performance issues and integration failures.
• Manage technical output to achieve key performance indicators related to deployment success and sprint predictability.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure all technical documentation and requirements comply with governance and security standards.
• Maintain 100% compliance with Officeworks company policies and the Code of Conduct.
• Proactively contribute to a safe working environment by identifying hazards and implementing safe work practices.

Who you will be working with:

• Internal Leadership: Salesforce Platform Owner and Solution Architects.
• Internal Delivery Teams: Functional Analysts, Administrators, Quality Analysts, and IT Operations.
• External Partners: System Integrators and Salesforce Technical Teams.

What success looks like:

• Code Excellence: Maintaining a code quality defect density of <3% and code coverage >85%.
• Deployment Reliability: Achieving a deployment success rate of >98%.
• Sprint Efficiency: Maintaining a sprint velocity predictability of >90%.
• Operational Integrity: Ensuring all vendor engagement and documentation comply with applicable laws and policies.

Qualifications and work experience:

Essential:

• Education: Degree in I.T., Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Cloud Expertise: Mandatory experience with Salesforce Sales, Service, Marketing, and Revenue Clouds, as well as Order Management.
• Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of Apex, LWC, APIs, and DevOps practices.
• Core Competencies: Strong problem-solving abilities and collaboration skills.
• Technology Proficiency: Salesforce Development Tools, Integration Platforms, LeanIX, Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD Toolchains.

Preferred:

• Field Service: Experience with Salesforce Field Service is highly regarded.
