Position Summary

The Senior Salesforce Developer designs, builds, and supports scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Revenue Cloud (CPQ), and Marketing Cloud integrations. This role ensures seamless integration with NetSuite, the BL Platform, and other enterprise systems via MuleSoft.

The position combines hands-on development with technical leadership across releases, working closely with Admins and Operations teams to deliver coordinated, well-tested change. It requires deep platform expertise, disciplined engineering practice, and strong troubleshooting ability.

Detailed Responsibilities By Category

• Solution Design & Custom Development Summary : Design and build scalable custom solutions across the Salesforce platform.
• Design and develop Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Web Components.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable platform designs.
• Assess whether requirements are best met declaratively or through code and advise accordingly.
• Develop solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Revenue Cloud.
• Maintain and refactor existing custom code to reduce technical debt.
• Data Model & Platform Build Summary : Build and maintain the underlying data structures supporting business processes.
• Build and maintain custom objects, fields, relationships, and data models supporting business processes.
• Build and maintain validation rules and platform logic where code-level control is required.
• Design data models that support reporting, integration, and downstream system needs.
• Manage data migration, transformation, and backfill activity associated with releases.
• Document data model decisions and their downstream implications.
• Revenue Cloud & CPQ Development Summary : Lead the technical delivery of complex quoting capability.
• Lead CPQ configuration and custom logic supporting complex quoting workflows.
• Build custom price, product, and quote logic where standard CPQ capability is insufficient.
• Collaborate with the Revenue Operations Specialist on CPQ changes, testing, and releases.
• Ensure CPQ customizations remain upgrade-safe and performant at volume.
• Support testing and validation of quoting outcomes across pricing scenarios.
• Integration Development Summary: Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems.
• Develop and integrate Salesforce with NetSuite, MuleSoft, and external APIs and middleware.
• Build and maintain REST and SOAP integrations, including authentication and error handling.
• Ensure seamless data flow between Salesforce, NetSuite, the BL Platform, and other enterprise systems.
• Monitor integration health, resolve failures, and implement retry and alerting mechanisms.
• Document integration architecture, field mappings, and dependencies.
• Code Quality, Testing & CI/CD Summary : Maintain engineering standards across the development lifecycle.
• Ensure code quality, testing, and CI/CD deployment best practices.
• Write and maintain unit tests and support regression testing across releases.
• Maintain Git repositories, branching standards, and deployment pipelines.
• Conduct and participate in code reviews.
• Monitor deployment success rate and address the causes of failed or rolled-back releases.
• Security, Performance & Scalability Summary : Keep the platform secure, performant, and able to scale.
• Support system security, including sharing model, access controls, and secure coding practice.
• Optimize performance, including query efficiency, governor limit management, and bulk processing.
• Design for scalability as data volumes, users, and business lines grow.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues and implement durable fixes.
• Monitor system performance and raise structural risks early.
• Collaboration & Release Governance Summary: Coordinate delivery across admin, operations, and platform teams.
• Collaborate with Admins and Operations teams for coordinated releases and enhancements.
• Work closely with Sales Ops, Admins, Platform Ops, and Marketing Ops to deliver aligned solutions.
• Participate in steering committee sessions to plan the development roadmap and release cycles.
• Monitor shared KPIs, including deployment success rate, system performance, and user adoption.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to admins and less experienced developers.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (Developer II preferred).
• Deep knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Revenue Cloud / CPQ, API development, and MuleSoft integrations.
• Skilled in CI/CD pipelines, Git repositories, and DevOps deployment methods.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and communication abilities.
• Experience delivering across multiple Salesforce clouds in a coordinated release environment.

• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with NetSuite.
• Experience with Marketing Cloud integration patterns.
• Experience mentoring admins or junior developers.
