Position: Senior Sales Manager

Location: Kothrud, Pune

Role Overview :-

We are hiring an experienced Senior Sales Manager – Solar EPC Project

Sales to drive direct sales of solar EPC projects, including rooftop and ground-mounted installations. This role focuses on end-to end project sales from lead generation to contract closure while working closely with internal engineering and project execution teams.

The position emphasizes direct Solar EPC project sales across commercial, industrial, and large-scale installations. Prior experience in independently managing and closing EPC projects is essential.

Key Responsibilities :-

1.Direct Solar EPC Project Sales:

Drive direct sales of solar EPC projects including rooftop and ground-

mounted systems.

Manage the complete sales lifecycle: lead generation, site discussions,

proposal development, techno-commercial negotiations, and contract

closure.

2.Business Development & Client Acquisition:

Identify and develop new business opportunities across C&I, institutional,

and large-scale solar project segments.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with decision-makers,

consultants, and developers.

3.Techno-Commercial Coordination:

Work closely with design, engineering, and project teams to develop

optimized technical solutions and competitive pricing.

Ensure alignment between customer requirements, technical feasibility,

and commercial viability.

4.Contract Negotiation & Closure:

Lead EPC contract negotiations including scope, timelines, payment

terms, and pricing.

Ensure contracts meet company margin and risk guidelines.

5.Sales Targets & Revenue Growth:

Achieve and exceed assigned project sales targets, order book value, and

revenue goals.

6.Key Account Management:

Manage strategic accounts and ensure repeat business through strong

customer engagement and satisfaction.

7.Market Intelligence:

Track market trends, EPC pricing benchmarks, competitor strategies, and

policy developments in the solar sector.

8.Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor the project sales team, set clear targets, and drive a high-performance culture.

9.Sales Reporting & Forecasting:

Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, prepare forecasts, and provide regular

performance reports to management.

Qualifications Experience :

8–10 years of experience in direct Solar EPC project sales within the

renewable energy sector. (Mandatory)

Hands-on experience in rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.

Proven experience in B2B / C&I / institutional solar project sales.

Portfolio Experience :

Demonstrated track record of handling solar EPC project sales portfolios

ranging from 500 MW to 1 GW.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)

MBA in Marketing / Business Administration (Preferred)

Industry Knowledge :

Strong understanding of EPC project execution models, solar system

design basics, and project economics.

Required Skills :

∙Proven expertise in direct EPC project sales (not product sales)

Strong techno-commercial understanding of solar EPC projects

∙Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills

Ability to manage long sales cycles and close high-value projects

∙Strategic mindset with data-driven decision-making ability
