Purpose of the Role

The incumbent will support the Regional Sales & Marketing Manager in driving revenue growth, market expansion, channel partner management, customer engagement, and execution of regional business strategies.

The role serves as thesecond-in-command for the regionand is responsible for ensuring effective coordination among Sales, Applications, Service, Marketing, and Channel Partners to achieve business objectives. The individual will manage key customer relationships, develop new business opportunities, lead territory teams, and ensure operational excellence across the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve assigned sales targets for:
  • Capital Equipment
  • Consumables
  • Service Contracts
  • Integrated Solutions
  • Drive business growth through direct sales and channel partner networks.
  • Support execution of annual operating plans and regional business strategies.
  • Develop and implement territory-wise growth plans.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities.
  • Monitor sales pipeline and maintain forecast accuracy.
  • Generate demand across all product modalities.

2. Key Account Management

  • Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including:
  • Hospital Administrators
  • Biomedical Engineers
  • Clinicians
  • Procurement Teams
  • Government Authorities Responsibilities
  • Support strategic account planning for major hospital groups and healthcare networks.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead customer escalation management and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Develop long-term partnerships with key accounts.

3. Channel Partner Management

  • Recruit, evaluate, and develop channel partners.
  • Monitor partner performance against agreed KPIs.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with channel partners.
  • Ensure partner compliance with company policies and ethical standards.
  • Support training and capability development initiatives for channel partners.
  • Drive partner-led business growth and market penetration.

4. Tender & Government Business

  • Identify government and institutional business opportunities.
  • Coordinate tender submissions with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely completion of technical and commercial documentation.
  • Track tender pipeline and monitor conversion rates.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government healthcare institutions.
  • Ensure compliance with tender and procurement requirements.

5. Marketing & Business Development

  • Execute regional marketing campaigns and business development initiatives.
  • Support product launches and clinical education programs.
  • Organize:
  • Workshops
  • Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programs
  • Roadshows
  • Customer Engagement Events
  • Conduct competitor analysis and gather market intelligence.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities, trends, and customer needs.

6. Team Leadership

  • Mentor and coach Sales Channel Partners (SCPs) and Channel Partnership Directors/Owners.
  • Support performance management and capability development of SCPs.
  • Conduct regular field visits and joint customer calls.
  • Drive a high-performance sales culture across assigned territories.
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and customer-centricity within the team.

7. Forecasting & Business Planning

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
  • Monitor regional business performance against targets.
  • Analyze sales trends, market dynamics, and competitive activity.
  • Drive corrective actions to close performance gaps.
  • Present business reviews and performance updates to regional leadership.
  • Support strategic business planning initiatives.

8. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and healthcare industry regulations.
  • Promote ethical business practices at all times.
  • Maintain compliance with tender and procurement requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate CRM updates and reporting.
  • Uphold Draeger's quality and compliance standards.

Additional Responsibilities

Any additional responsibilities assigned by management, including team management and leadership-related initiatives, as required by business needs.

Educational Qualification

  • B.Tech (Biomedical Engineering), OR B.Sc. in any Science discipline, OR Equivalent qualification

Relevant Experience

  • 10–15 years of experience in the Medical Devices industry.
  • Proven track record in sales, channel management, key account management, and business development.
  • Experience in handling government, institutional, and tender business is preferred.
