Azista is a recognized leader in high-temperature composite technologies, specializing in CarbonCarbon (C/C) and CarbonCarbon Silicon Carbide (C/C-SiC) Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs). These materials play a critical role in missile systems, launch vehicles, hypersonic platforms, and other strategic programs.

Job Summary:

The Sr. Sales Engineer / Assistant Manager will support business growth by developing new customers, generating sales leads, managing key accounts, and supporting ongoing composite programs across Aerospace, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles VTOL/e-VTOL/UAVs, Radomes, Loitering Munitions, Weapon Systems, Space Structures, Defence, Railways, and High-Temperature Composite applications.

The role requires a strong understanding of the Indian Composites ecosystem, including material qualification with global OEMs and engagement with Indian MoD, DRDO, ISRO, and PSUs. The position demands sound technical knowledge of composites and close collaboration with engineering, R&D, and manufacturing teams to deliver customized, application-specific solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and generate new business leads for epoxy prepregs, composite material qualification programs, High Pressure Composite Cylinders, Filament winding and composite components/structures.
  • Track sales pipeline, forecasts, order intake, and program status.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for composite products including structures, components, interiors, and engineered solutions.
  • Drive customized and R&D-led solutions for high-temperature composites such as C-C, C-C-SiC, and C-SiC products and processes.
  • Identify and develop opportunities with OEMs, Tier-1/Tier-2 suppliers, UAV manufacturers, defence & aerospace OEMs, and organizations such as DRDO and ISRO.
  • Manage assigned customer accounts and support RFQs, techno-commercial proposals, costing, and contract negotiations.

Exhibitions & Marketing Support

  • Represent Azista Composites at domestic and international exhibitions, trade shows, and industry forums.
  • Plan and execute pre-event and post-event activities, including lead generation, follow-ups, and conversion tracking.
  • Develop and coordinate marketing collaterals such as brochures, presentations, and technical product literature for exhibitions and customer engagements.

Customer & Program Management

  • Coordinate technical and commercial discussions between customers and internal teams.
  • Support program execution from development and qualification to serial production.
  • Assist in market research, competitor analysis, and customer mapping.
  • Support customer audits, plant visits, and quality reviews.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/ master's degree in engineering (Preferably Mechanical, Aerospace, Material, Polymer & Chemical)
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management within Composites Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Defence sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the aerospace and technology sectors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Hands-on experience in exhibitions, trade shows, and customer engagement events.
  • Prior exposure to aerospace/defence OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.

Key Skills:

  • Understanding of composite materials, processes, and applications.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills.
  • Experience in lead generation and opportunity conversion from trade shows.
  • Ability to manage long-cycle, technically complex sales programs.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
