About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer who is passionate about building high-quality, scalable web applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with test-driven development (TDD) and a strong understanding of coding best practices.

You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust applications and APIs while contributing to continuous improvements in our engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby on Rails applications and APIs
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices such as RSpec or Minitest
• Apply test-driven development principles to ensure high code quality and reliability
• Optimize application performance and ensure responsiveness
• Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices
• Debug production issues and deliver timely fixes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage multiple projects effectively
• Mentor or guide junior developers; leadership experience is a plus

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred
• Self-taught developers are welcome
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, RESTful APIs, and version control systems such as Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to deliver quality work within deadlines
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
