Role Expectations:
We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Revit Space Planner with a strong focus on delivering high-quality furniture and workplace space planning, supporting project teams through coordinated layouts, furniture planning, and stakeholder collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Take and interpret the furniture and space planning brief from the Project FC / Design Team.
- Produce detailed furniture layouts and workplace space plans within Revit.
- Develop efficient, functional, and aesthetically considered space planning solutions in line with project requirements.
- Coordinate furniture layouts with architectural backgrounds and consultant information.
- Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to gather and manage project-specific Revit families and CAD content.
- Review Revit families to ensure suitability for furniture planning and project requirements.
- Plot furniture layouts, floor boxes, power/data locations, and grommet positions in coordination with the wider project team.
- Maintain and update furniture layouts and Revit models throughout project stages.
- Issue Revit models, PDFs, DWGs, schedules, and drawing registers in line with project deadlines.
- Incorporate project team comments and client feedback into plan revisions accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure space plans align with workplace standards, circulation requirements, ED&I considerations, and furniture functionality.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders to support project delivery.
- Maintain organised project drawing information and file structures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support project teams with furniture test fits, occupancy reviews, and layout option studies as required.
- Assist with final drawing and model issue at project completion.
- Work with the BIM Manager to ensure the project scope is executed in an efficient and timely manner.
- Support the wider consultancy team with Revit-based workflows and troubleshooting.
- Work alongside the Tech Team to improve Revit processes and workflows.
- Contribute to the maintenance and organisation of the TFP Revit and CAD furniture libraries.
- Assist with adding and updating new manufacturer content and product launches.
- Promote consistent drawing standards and good file management across project work.
- Support with ad hoc internal space planning requirements and exercises.
To be successful in this role you need:
- Advanced Revit proficiency focused on furniture and workplace space planning.
- Strong understanding of workplace design principles, furniture coordination, and space utilization in line with UK & EU standards.
- Experience producing and managing detailed furniture layouts within Revit.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with design teams, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working within BIM processes and collaborating with BIM Project Coordinators is preferred.
- Experience working within commercial workplace projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial furniture manufacturers is preferred.
Technical requirements:
- Exceptional working knowledge of Autodesk Revit
