The Orthopaedics Department is equipped to handle trauma, joint replacement, arthroscopy, spine, and complex orthopaedic procedures with a multidisciplinary approach.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and clinically competent Senior Resident – Orthopaedics to join our dynamic orthopaedic team. The candidate will assist consultants in managing inpatient and outpatient services, emergency orthopaedic care, trauma cases, surgeries, and academic activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage orthopaedic patients in OPD, IPD, and emergency settings
  • Assist consultants during orthopaedic surgeries and independently manage designated procedures as per competency
  • Handle trauma and emergency orthopaedic cases efficiently
  • Monitor post-operative patients and ensure appropriate follow-up care
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and medical records
  • Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, clinical audits, and departmental meetings
  • Coordinate with physiotherapy, radiology, anaesthesia, and nursing teams for comprehensive patient care
  • Supervise junior residents, interns, and nursing staff when required
  • Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, NABH standards, infection control, and patient safety guidelines
  • Participate in CME activities, teaching sessions, and academic presentations

Eligibility Criteria

  • MBBS with MS/DNB in Orthopaedics from a recognized institution
  • Valid Punjab Medical Council registration
  • 0–3 years of post-PG experience preferred
  • Strong clinical and surgical skills in orthopaedics and trauma management
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient management abilities
