Senior Resident Engineer

Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced Cohesity Resident Engineer to provide embedded technical expertise for enterprise data protection initiatives.
• This is a hands-on role requiring deep knowledge of Cohesity platform administration, AWS cloud infrastructure, and immutable backup environments.
• The successful candidate will work independently from India in a remote capacity, providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and operational support to drive successful platform deployment, optimization, and ongoing management.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and tune Cohesity clusters across diverse environments
• Administer Cohesity DataProtect and Data Manage; manage Smartfiles implementations
• Design and execute disaster recovery strategies; perform failover testing and validation
• Manage VMware, Linux, and Windows workload protection policies
• Architect and configure AWS S3 and EC2 backup/archival solutions
• Implement and manage FortKnox immutable backup environments
• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize cluster performance
• Create comprehensive technical documentation and runbooks
• Work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on enterprise data protection engineering experience
• 3+ years of direct Cohesity platform administration experience
• Proven expertise with Cohesity cluster deployment, configuration, and optimization
• Strong AWS knowledge (S3, EC2, cloud backup architectures)
• Demonstrated experience with FortKnox immutable backup environments
• Proficiency protecting VMware, Linux, and Windows workloads
• Hands-on experience designing and validating disaster recovery solutions
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cohesity Certified Administrator (CCA) certification
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or equivalent)
• Experience with regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Cohesity Helios multi-cluster management
• Prior resident engineer, embedded consultant, or customer success engineering experience
