The Role

This is a full-time remote role for candidates based in India. You'll work directly with our UK-based leadership, product, and engineering teams on a product used by a global audience. Compensation is competitive within the Indian market and will be determined by your experience and expertise.

We're seeking an experienced Senior React Native Developer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI-powered productivity platform. You'll take the lead on developing robust React Native components and features while helping drive the direction of our mobile application, working closely with our mobile development team to implement scalable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement reusable React Native components and features.
• Improve the architecture and maintainability of the React Native application.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following team standards.
• Implement responsive and user-friendly mobile interfaces.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Optimise application performance and responsiveness.
• Implement automated testing to ensure code quality.
• Debug complex issues across different devices and OS versions.
• Document technical specifications and maintain project documentation.
• Work closely with product managers to implement new features.
• Collaborate with the UI/UX team to implement design specifications.
• Ensure proper integration between React Native and native modules.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with React Native.
• Strong understanding of React Native development best practices.
• Experience mentoring junior developers.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team environment.
• Experience designing and implementing innovative solutions to complex problems.

Technical Skills:

• Expert knowledge of React Native and TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency in React Native navigation and state management.
• Experience with React Native performance optimisation and debugging.
• Experience integrating with REST APIs and WebSockets, with a strong understanding of fundamental network communication principles, and using React Query.
• Expertise in version control systems (Git).
• Experience with automated testing (Jest, React Native Testing Library).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
• Familiarity with native module integration.
• Knowledge of cross-platform design considerations.
• Understanding of mobile app security best practices.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with AI-powered systems is a huge bonus.
