Primary Responsibilities

The Senior Rating Analyst would conduct end-to-end rating involving the following primary responsibilities:

• Credit analysis of financial instruments in the BFSI sector for banks, NBFCs, MFIs, and Structured Finance Products
• Financial analysis and the ability to make financial projections of the financial instruments.
• Analytical rigor in the presentations to the rating committees
• Maintain excellent quality in the analysis and be up to date on the market/industry information and suitable and need-based rating actions.
•  Interact with company management, auditors, bankers, and other lenders, and visit companies and factories as part of the regular monitoring and data gathering.
• To take ownership of the folio by carrying out regular surveillance, monitoring, reviews every quarter / material event basis, tracking the performance of the companies concerning macroeconomic changes, and handling internal and external audit queries.
• Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures, regulations & policies.
• Adept in meeting tight deadlines with no compromise on analytical quality
• Mentor and guide junior rating analysts
• Client interaction and managing good relations.

Competency / Skills

• Analytical expertise in the  Banks / NBFCs / MFIs / Structured Finance Products segment, including financial modeling, ratio analysis, and industry knowledge.
• Updated with the latest regulatory guidelines and circulars, especially in Structured Finance Products.
• Excellent verbal / written communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency: Strong domain knowledge in credit assessment in the BFSI sector - Banks, NBFCs, MFIs, and Structured Finance products
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and presentation skills to present the facts along with rating recommendations to the rating committees.

Job Location: Mumbai

Education: Postgraduate in Finance / Commerce or CA. Any additional certifications in finance will be an added advantage.

Experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the credit rating domain in rating agencies and banks.

Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Credit Rating in the Banking /Finance Industry. Immediate / Early Joiners would be preferred.
