Senior R&D Chemist

Job Description:

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior R&D Chemist to lead and strengthen our in-house R&D function. The ideal candidate will possess strong fundamentals in organic chemistry, proven hands-on experience in process development, and the ability to drive innovation, quality improvement, and new product development within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
. Lead R&D activities for dyes, dye intermediates, Pigments and speciality chemicals.
. Develop, optimise, and scale organic synthesis routes for new products.
. Conduct literature surveys, design experiments, interpret analytical data, and maintain detailed documentation.
. Collaborate with Production, QC, and Management to support plant trials and technology transfer.
. Ensure strict confidentiality of proprietary chemistry, processes, and formulations.
. Maintain proper records and summaries for each project and provide timely updates to management.

Required Qualifications
. PhD in Organic Chemistry (preferred), or M.Sc. with exceptional hands-on expertise.
. 2-3 years of experience in R&D or process development.
. Experience in pharmaceutical R&D or intermediates is highly preferred.
. Strong understanding of synthetic organic chemistry, reaction mechanisms, and analytical interpretation.
. Good knowledge of lab-scale to pilot-scale process development.
. Basic knowledge of analytical testing and equipment.
