Position Overview

As a Quality Engineer at the company, you will own test strategy, automation infrastructure, and release confidence across the platform. You will work embedded with engineering teams to shift quality left, modernize legacy systems, and build scalable test frameworks using AI-assisted tooling. This is a hands-on engineering role — not a manual QA role.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks covering UI, API, integration, and E2E using Playwright and Selenium
• Build and own test automation pipelines integrated into CI/CD workflows on GCP and
• AWSParticipate in planning, design, and spec reviews to identify quality risks early in the development lifecycle
• Leverage AI testing tools (Autify, Mabl, or MagicPod) to improve test generation, regression coverage, and defect detection
• Define quality standards, acceptance criteria, and quality gates in collaboration with developers and product teams
• Identify and mitigate quality risks during legacy system migration and platform modernization efforts
• Use metrics and test data to track quality trends, improve test stability, and drive continuous improvement across teams

Must Have Criteria

• 6+ years of experience in software quality engineering or test automation (web and/or mobile applications)
• Hands-on experience building automated test frameworks using Playwright or Selenium with JavaScript/TypeScript
• Proven experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with API testing using Postman or equivalent tools, including REST API validation
• Strong understanding of Agile SDLC with experience in shift-left testing practises
• Experience testing modern web applications at scale — including E2E, regression, and integration test coverage
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experiance

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with AI-driven testing platforms such as Autify, Mabl, or Magic
• PodExperience testing microservices or distributed systems on GCP or AWS
• Prior involvement in legacy system migration or platform re-architecture projects
• Experience working with Japanese stakeholders or products in an international team settings
• Software development background in JavaScript/TypeScript (frontend or backend)
