Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in Lithium-Ion Battery manufacturing and quality. The candidate should have strong knowledge of cell, battery module and battery pack manufacturing, electrical testing, BMS, welding processes, EOL testing, process quality and defect analysis. Exposure to BLDC Motor manufacturing will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage IQC, IPQC and OQC activities for Lithium-Ion Battery manufacturing.
2. Strong hands-on knowledge of cell inspection, cell grading, OCV/IR testing, cell matching, module assembly and battery pack assembly.
3. Monitor critical processes including spot/resistance welding, nickel strip/busbar assembly, insulation, soldering, BMS assembly, wiring/harnessing and pack enclosure assembly.
4. Conduct and monitor battery charging/discharging, capacity, voltage, current, IR, BMS communication, protection function and EOL testing.
5. Ensure critical quality parameters such as weld strength, insulation resistance, polarity, voltage balance, cell matching and BMS protection functions are controlled.
6. Handle battery defect analysis, RCA, 8D, CAPA, Pareto and rejection/rework reduction.
7. Prepare and maintain PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP, Work Instructions, inspection standards and quality check sheets.
8. Monitor battery process rejection, PPM, rework, FPY and customer complaints.
9. Coordinate with Production, R&D, Supplier Quality and Manufacturing Engineering for process and product improvements.
10. Support supplier quality activities, incoming cell/component inspection and supplier corrective actions.
11. Ensure compliance with applicable battery safety, quality and ISO requirements.
12. Drive continuous improvement projects to improve battery reliability, safety, quality and manufacturing yield.

Candidate Profile

1. 3+ years of relevant experience in Lithium-Ion Battery manufacturing/quality, preferably in EV or automotive applications.
2. Strong hands-on experience in battery production, testing, inspection and troubleshooting.
3. Good understanding of battery-related electrical, mechanical and safety requirements.
4. Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
