Senior Quality Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead QA Engineer to own quality across our platform. You will define how we test, build AI-augmented automation from the ground up, and set the release standards that engineering teams rely on. This is a hands-on, high-influence role working closely with Engineering, Product, and Architecture.

What You Will Do

Quality Strategy and Ownership

• Own the end-to-end QA strategy for the platform and serve as the single point of accountability for quality
• Drive shift-left practices, including requirements and architecture reviews, to catch risk early
• Establish quality standards and release gates, and support go-live and production-readiness decisions

AI-Augmented Test Automation

• Build automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright and TypeScript, designed for parallel execution, reporting, and scale
• Create reusable automation components that engineering teams can adopt easily
• Configure AI agents and workflows for test case generation, coverage analysis, and defect triage
• Put guardrails and governance in place so AI-generated test artifacts are reliable, reviewed, and auditable

Contract and Integration Testing

• Design contract testing between microservices and validate API schema compatibility
• Ensure backward compatibility across releases

CI/CD and Quality Gates

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with enforced quality gates
• Add automated security checks to the pipeline
• Monitor pipeline health and automation metrics, and act on what they show

Performance Engineering

• Select and implement performance testing tools
• Define NFRs and SLAs, establish performance baselines, and prevent regressions before release

Technical Leadership

• Mentor engineers on QA best practices and AI-assisted testing
• Drive adoption of modern testing approaches and share AI learnings across teams
• Influence engineering standards and strengthen the quality culture
