We are seeking an experienced Data Quality / Database Tester with strong experience in SQL and data validation, along with hands-on exposure to data quality tools such as ICEDQ. The role focuses on validating data integrity, accuracy, and transformations across systems, especially within ETL and data migration processes. Experience in the banking domain is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into test scenarios
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Perform end-to-end database testing, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems
- Execute data quality checks using ICEDQ (or similar tools) to validate business rules and data standards
- Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements and maintain comprehensive test documentation.
- Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
- Analyze test results, report findings, and provide input to improve application quality and user experience.
- Validate backend data using SQL queries to ensure data consistency, integrity, and accuracy across systems.
- Adhere to banking and financial services regulations and compliance standards during testing cycles.
Skills and Experience:
- 6-9 years of experience in database testing and data validation
- Hands-on experience with SQL (joins, aggregations, subqueries) for data validation
- Exposure to data quality tools such as ICEDQ or similar frameworks
- Experience in data reconciliation and source-to-target validation
- Understanding of banking products such as loans, credit, or core banking systems
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to Appian or application-level testing (minimal involvement)
- Exposure to CI/CD or DevOps practices
