Senior Python Automation Engineer (6-8 Yrs & 8+ Yrs) | ETL Testing, Power BI, Python Expert | Hybrid

About the Role

We are hiring a skilled Python Automation Engineer with a strong specialization in ETL/Data Pipeline Testing and exposure to Power BI Validation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on Python expert who can ensure end-to-end data accuracy, from ingestion and transformation to final reporting, within a fast-paced environment. We are looking for candidates across two senior bands (6-8 years and 8+ years of experience).

Status: Immediate, Currently Serving Notice Period, or 30 Days

What You Will Do:

Framework Design: Design and develop robust Python-based automation frameworks specifically for ETL and data pipeline validation.

Data Integrity: Develop and execute comprehensive ETL test cases, performing data reconciliation, validation, and transformation checks between source and target systems.

BI Validation: Perform Power BI report validation, including data accuracy checks, dashboard integrity, DAX validations, and data lineage tracing.

Collaboration: Work closely with Data Engineers and BI Developers to define testing strategies and ensure data consistency.

Defect Management: Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.

Improvement: Create reusable test scripts and contribute to continuous test automation and CI/CD improvements.

What You Will Bring Along:

Python Expert: Strong proficiency in Python scripting with a proven focus on automation and testing.

ETL Expertise: Hands-on experience with ETL testing (data extraction, transformation, and loading processes), including both manual and automation testing techniques.

Data Skills: Proficiency in SQL for complex data validation and query-based testing.

Foundational Knowledge: Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts, data modeling, and modern data pipelines.

Automation Tools: Experience with automation frameworks like PyTest, Unittest, or similar.

Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

Exposure to Power BI testing (datasets, DAX, data lineage).

Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git) for test automation integration.

Experience with cloud platforms like Azure Data Factory or Snowflake.
