Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with 810 years of experience who brings deep expertise in manual testing and strong hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium and/or Playwright. This role involves owning quality across websites, web applications, and mobile applications, mentoring junior QA engineers, and driving test strategy and automation adoption across projects.

Roles, Responsibilities and Duties / Tasks and duties that define the role

Key Responsibilities

Manual & Functional Testing Leadership

Own end-to-end test planning, estimation, and execution across projects

Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive test strategies, scenarios, and test cases

Perform functional, integration, system, regression, UAT support, and exploratory testing

Validate UI/UX, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and usability standards

Lead mobile application testing efforts for Android and iOS platforms

Drive defect triage, root cause analysis, and quality risk assessment

Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, and business stakeholders

Automation Testing and Quality Engineering

Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium and/or Playwright

Identify high-value test scenarios for automation and improve automation coverage

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines

Analyze automation results and ensure stability and reliability of test suites

Guide teams on automation best practices, coding standards, and test data management

Evaluate and recommend testing tools, frameworks, and process improvements

Must-Have Skills

410 years of experience in Quality Assurance across manual and automation testing

Strong experience testing complex web applications and enterprise systems

Hands-on automation experience with Selenium and/or Playwright

Good programming knowledge in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript

Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps practices

Experience with defect management and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)

Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing

Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Experience with mobile automation tools such as Appium

Exposure to performance or security testing

Experience working with cloud platforms and microservices-based systems

Prior experience mentoring or leading QA teams

Experience working in CI/CD-driven delivery environments
