Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and self-driven Senior QA Test Engineer with 4 to 8 years of experience in Manual Testing, Database Testing (SQL), Security Testing, and Test Automation using C# and Selenium WebDriver. The ideal candidate should be capable of working as an Independent Contributor, owning end-to-end quality assurance activities, and ensuring the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-quality software products.
The successful candidate will have strong expertise in functional testing, database validation, security testing practices, automation framework development, defect tracking, and Agile methodologies. This role requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with development, business, and product teams.
Roles & Responsibilities:-
Functional & Manual Testing
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Design, develop, review, and execute comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
- Perform Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and End-to-End testing.
- Conduct exploratory testing to identify hidden defects and usability issues.
- Validate application behavior against business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
Database Testing (SQL)
- Perform backend testing and data validation across applications and databases.
- Write and execute complex SQL queries for data verification.
- Validate data integrity using:
- Joins
- Stored Procedures
- Functions
- Views
- Database Triggers
- Verify data migration, transformation, and synchronization processes.
- Investigate and troubleshoot data discrepancies and performance issues.
Security Testing
- Perform application security validation based on industry best practices.
- Identify and report common security vulnerabilities such as:
- SQL Injection
- Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)
- Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)
- Authentication and Authorization Issues
- Session Management Vulnerabilities
- Validate security controls, access permissions, and user roles.
- Collaborate with development teams to remediate identified security risks.
- Support vulnerability assessments and security compliance initiatives.
Automation Testing
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using:
- C#
- Selenium WebDriver
- Develop reusable automation components and utilities.
- Enhance and maintain existing automation frameworks.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze results.
- Improve test coverage through automation initiatives.
- Participate in continuous improvement of test automation practices.
Defect Management & Reporting
- Identify, document, and track defects through closure using Azure DevOps.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring defects.
- Provide detailed test execution reports and quality metrics.
- Participate in defect triage meetings and release readiness reviews.
Agile & Quality Processes
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including:
- Sprint Planning
- Daily Stand-ups
- Sprint Reviews
- Retrospectives
- Estimate testing effort and identify project risks.
- Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA organization.
Ownership & Accountability
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Take complete ownership of assigned testing activities and deliverables.
- Drive quality initiatives across the software development lifecycle.
- Proactively identify testing risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.
