Senior Quality Assurance Engineer 

We are currently seeking a seasoned QA engineer with years of experience working with complex systems from the perspective of quality assurance to join us.

Quality at CellPoint Digital starts on day one of every feature, not after it ships. We practice automation-first, left-shift QA — our engineers are embedded in the team from the requirements phase, shaping acceptance criteria and building automated coverage as a core part of the development cycle, not an afterthought.

Our QA engineers are not here to drive business features forward — they are here to ensure that when features ship, they ship with the highest quality of implementation. That means close collaboration with both business partners and developers, spanning everything from code-level reviews to ensuring business requirements are sound before a line of code is written.

We practice Behavior Driven Development, and Gherkin scenarios are written early — not as documentation after the fact, but as the shared language that aligns product owners, developers, and QA from the very beginning of a story.

Our testing is transparent by design. Results are reported clearly and consistently to both our internal stakeholders and our customers, because we believe visibility into quality is as important as quality itself.

Our application stack is built on Golang and hosted on Google Cloud Platform, with a globally distributed architecture serving customers across multiple regions. High availability, fault tolerance, and low latency are not aspirations — they are baseline requirements.

Our engineering teams work with concepts like API First, Top-Down Development, Domain Driven Design, and micro-services as everyday practice. We ship frequently and deliberately, using feature branches, feature toggles, and continuous deployment to deliver discrete, controlled releases.

Our development methodology is agile, with Behavior Driven Development at its core — the same methodology that shapes how our QA engineers engage with the team from day one.


How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Analyze complex business requirements and proactively engage with stakeholders to close gaps before development begins

  • Create test plans ensuring correct and sufficient coverage across all features

  • Identify and classify scenarios into appropriate suites, including smoke and sanity, to support fast feedback at every stage of the pipeline

  • Author new and maintain existing automated acceptance tests, with a focus on automation first

  • Collaborate with developers to identify test cases at the unit test level when needed

  • Perform manual exploratory testing when automation alone is insufficient, particularly around edge cases and newly released features

  • Collaborate with developers to investigate and diagnose production issues

  • Monitor regression runs, mitigate failures, and continuously improve test coverage and reliability

  • Work with the QA team to continuously evaluate and improve our practices, tooling, and automation

Skills you will have fine-tuned:

Technical Skills

  • ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent is required — higher level certifications are a plus

  • Strong practical experience with Behavior Driven Development and Gherkin — this is essential

  • Experience with Playwright for end-to-end test automation

  • Proficiency in TypeScript — this is a must

  • Experience with API testing and an understanding of API First design principles

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous deployment practices

  • Exposure to distributed systems and micro-services architecture is a plus

  • Excellent fault finding, debugging, and diagnostic skills

  • Experience in the payments domain is a plus but not required
