Senior Consultant QA
Role Summary
The Senior QA Consultant is responsible for leading the quality assurance activities for Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) projects. This role focuses on ensuring the delivery of high-quality, customer-facing eCommerce solutions through meticulous testing strategies. The Senior QA Consultant plays a key role in understanding business requirements, developing test plans, executing test efforts, and ensuring seamless integration with SFCC platforms.
Responsibilities
Test Execution
Develop and implement comprehensive test Cases for Storefront for SFCC-related projects, focusing on functional, API, UI, and integration testing.
Ensure thorough coverage of eCommerce flows such as Cart, Checkout, OMS, and POS systems. Perform manual testing, focusing on end-to-end processes across web and mobile platforms.
Quality Assurance Oversight
Lead the QA efforts for SFCC promotions, campaigns, and key business flows, ensuring the accuracy and functionality of each feature.
Monitor and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and retesting of issues.
Conduct compatibility testing across various browsers, devices, and operating systems.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure QA requirements are integrated into the project from the beginning.
Provide clear, concise, and timely communication to stakeholders regarding testing progress, risks, and issues.
Collaborate with external partners and customers, ensuring alignment on testing standards and practices.
Process Improvement & Best Practices
Implement QA best practices, continuously improving testing processes and methodologies. Utilize tools like JIRA and Postman to manage test cases, defects, and QA-related documentation. Keep up to date with the latest trends and tools in SFCC and QA domains, applying them to projects when relevant.
Mentorship & Guidance
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior QA team members. Ensure that the team is aligned with overall project goals and adheres to QA standards and timelines.
People Management
The incumbent holds no direct supervisory responsibilities but is expected to engage effectively within their function and collaboratively across cross-functional teams. This role contributes meaningfully, whether through operational contributions and/or by offering specialized expertise, guidance, and support, to ensure alignment with either functional and/or strategic organizational goals and objectives.
Functional / Technical Competencies
Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Proficiency with QA tools such as JIRA and Postman.
Experience with manual testing techniques, API testing, UI testing, and functional testing.
Expertise in SFCC testing with a focus on Cart, Checkout, promotions, and campaigns.
Knowledgeable in eCommerce domain flows, OMS, POS systems, and Web/Mobile application testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Familiarity with compatibility testing across browsers, operating systems, and devices.
Experience
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in software testing with expertise in eCommerce platforms and at least 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC). Hands-on experience with both manual and SFCC BM testing
