Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer - Networking Domain

You will be owning engineering initiatives and champion a culture of high ownership, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Own release readiness and quality sign-off for assigned product areas, defining and enforcing quality gates, applying severity/priority models, and making go/no-go calls on releases.
• Build and improve test automation (API, UI, or CLI) in Python and other scripting languages to increase coverage, reduce cycle time, and optimize test processes.
• Lead critical customer escalations by partnering with support and customer teams to reproduce, diagnose, and drive resolution of live issues under time pressure, keeping stakeholders updated with clear, actionable status.
• Perform deep log analysis and root-cause investigation across client and server logs and network captures to isolate failures in client–server products spanning Windows and Linux.
• Define test strategy for various components and features, identifying coverage gaps, risk areas, and the right mix of manual and automated testing.
• Design, write, and maintain test cases and regression suites, ensuring new functionality and prior fixes are validated consistently across supported platforms.
• Validate networking-centric functionality such as TCP/IP, DNS, TLS/DTLS, proxies, routing, and VPN/ZTNA, including certificate/PKI, firewall, and authentication scenarios where relevant.
• Manage test execution and defects end to end using a test-management tool (e.g., TestRail) and Jira, producing clear bug reports, test summaries, and escalation updates others can act on directly.

What will you bring to Omnissa

• 12 to 18 Years in software / test engineering, including senior ownership of a product area or release.
• Proven experience in automation design, programming and process optimization.
• Experience in programming language Python.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, TLS/DTLS, proxies, routing, and VPN / ZTNA concepts.
• Hands-on experience testing across platforms (Windows and Linux) and testing client–server products.
• Proven skill in log analysis and root-cause investigation; comfortable reading server and client logs and network captures.
• Experience owning release readiness / sign-off and working to defined quality gates and severity/priority models.
• Experience with a test-management tool (e.g. TestRail) and defect-tracking in Jira.
• Excellent written communication — bug reports, test summaries and escalation updates that others can act on directly.
• Ability to work with customers and support teams on live escalations under time pressure.

Preferred / nice to have

• Experience with endpoint management, secure access gateways, or SASE.
• Certificate / PKI, firewall and authentication troubleshooting experience.
• Test automation experience (API, UI or CLI) and scripting (Python, Bash, Go or similar).
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS) for standing up test infrastructure.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and containerized (Docker) test/release workflows.
