Role Description
An experienced Quality Assurance professional who works closely with the engineering team to ensure high-quality, timely delivery of products. This individual has strong technical, business, and communication skills, with a passion for testing and quality engineering.
Responsibilities
Core QA & Testing
- Understand user stories and ensure the build/solution meets user acceptance criteria.
- Create test cases and test data based on user stories or user scenarios.
- Execute test cases and scenarios.
- Perform daily test execution and bug reporting.
- Carry out testing as per defined SQM procedures.
- Participate in walkthroughs of testing procedures.
- Ensure all testing activities adhere to defined standards and processes.
- Sign off applications/builds/features with proper documentation.
- Support testing for multiple projects as needed, including extended hours.
Collaboration & Communication
- Send daily status reports and keep EL/QA SPOC updated on progress/issues.
- Collaborate with development for bug fix validation and verification.
- Communicate professionally at all levels within and outside the organization.
- Present sprint and post-merge testing status while keeping SQM/QA SPOC informed.
- Collaborate effectively in a distributed team environment.
Quality Engineering & Issue Resolution
- Troubleshoot quality issues and support updates to test procedures.
- Manage, report, and escalate test status, defects, risks, and issues.
- Support testing of Native and Hybrid apps (iOS/Android) using real devices, cloud platforms, and simulators.
- Demonstrate strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities.
- Maintain attention to detail under pressure.
Requirements
Experience & Knowledge
- Ideally 5+ years of QA experience.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience generating test cases from requirements.
- Strong understanding of quality engineering in Scrum/Agile environments.
- Experience testing Native and Hybrid apps.
- Good knowledge of APIs and Databases.
- Ability to manage multiple complex priorities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to adhere to company policies and compliance protocols.
