Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Wireless Test Automation Engineer with strong experience in Wi-Fi technologies and Python-based automation. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and execute automated test frameworks for validating wireless features such as roaming, security, performance, and next-generation standards (Wi-Fi 6/6E/7).

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop automation frameworks for wireless testing using Python

Validate Wi-Fi features including roaming, WPA2/WPA3 security, throughput, latency, DFS, and channel selection

Automate functional, regression, and performance test cases

Analyze logs from APs, clients, and packet captures (Wireshark)

Work with tools like iperf, traffic generators, and Linux networking utilities

Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)

Debug wireless issues and provide root cause analysis (RCA)

Collaborate with development and system teams

Improve test coverage and automation efficiency

Required Skills

Wireless Expertise

Strong understanding of IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi 5/6/6E/7)

Experience with roaming, RF fundamentals, and security protocols (WPA2/WPA3, SAE, 802.1X)

Programming & Automation

Strong Python programming skills

Experience with PyTest, Robot Framework, or similar

Familiarity with Linux shell scripting

Tools & Debugging

Wireshark and packet analysis

iperf and traffic tools

Linux networking tools (tcpdump, iw, etc.)

CI/CD

Experience with Jenkins or similar tools

Good to Have

Wi-Fi 7 (MLO, 320 MHz)

6 GHz (AFC, standard power)

Client driver experience

AI/ML in test automation

Enterprise Wi-Fi deployments

Qualifications

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field

38 years of experience in wireless testing or automation
