About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled QA Automation Test Engineer with robust expertise in automation testing. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in designing and implementing automation frameworks, with specific experience in Hybrid Frameworks. You will be essential in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of our applications by driving both UI and API Automation efforts. You will be expected to work independently in a fast-paced environment and play a key role in the entire software development life cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable automation scripts and frameworks, specifically leveraging Hybrid Framework models.
- Perform automated UI testing using tools like Selenium and Playwright, efficiently utilizing locators, including XPath.
- Develop and execute end-to-end API Automation and API Testing using specialized tools.
- Utilize and manage advanced testing features like data-driven testing, parallel execution, and reporting, particularly with the TestNG framework.
- Conduct database validation using strong SQL skills.
- Integrate automation tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub) to support continuous quality.
- Track, manage, and report defects using tools like Jira and qTest.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure product quality standards are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong 3+ years of hands-on experience in QA automation testing (Selenium, Playwright).
- Expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Hybrid Automation Frameworks.
- Demonstrable experience with API Automation and API Testing using industry-standard tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured, SOAPUI, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with the TestNG framework (annotations, grouping, reporting).
- Proficiency in identifying web elements using various locators, with specific expertise in complex XPath expressions.
- Hands-on experience with SQL for database testing and validation.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and version control systems (GitHub).
- Ability to write clean, reusable automation code in Java or JavaScript.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to AI-driven testing tools (e.g., TestSigma, specialized AI tools).
- Experience in agile/scrum environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms.
