Role Overview
The Senior QM Consultant is responsible for configuring and validating quality inspection processes within SAP Quality Management to support operational requirements for AIT operations. The role involves designing inspection workflows, ensuring integration with other SAP modules, and supporting testing and documentation for implementation and future rollouts.
Key Responsibilities
SAP QM Configuration
- Configure inspection types, inspection characteristics, inspection plans, and inspection lots in SAP Quality Management.
- Define sampling procedures and result recording processes.
Inspection Process Design
- Design and implement inbound, in-process, and outbound inspection processes across applicable sites.
- Ensure inspection workflows align with operational quality standards.
Usage Decision & Stock Posting
- Configure usage decision codes and automate stock postings based on inspection outcomes.
- Manage stock movements between quality inspection, unrestricted, blocked, and scrap stock.
Batch Management Integration
- Ensure integration between QM inspection results and batch-managed materials within SAP S/4HANA.
- Support batch release processes based on quality approval.
Cross-Module Integration
- Coordinate QM processes with other SAP modules such as SAP Materials Management and SAP Production Planning.
Testing & Validation
- Execute QM unit testing and support end-to-end integration testing.
- Assist with issue resolution during testing phases.
Documentation
- Document QM configurations, process flows, and testing results to support implementation and future system rollouts.
Required Skills & Experience
- 712 years of experience in SAP Quality Management consulting.
- Strong knowledge of inspection planning, result recording, and quality processes.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations and cross-module integration.
- Experience supporting testing, documentation, and rollout activities.
