For an international project in Chennai, we are urgently looking for a Senior QA Test Engineer with Data Analysis experience . Experience testing with Azure Databricks is a big plus. The Senior QA Test Engineer shall work closely both with the business users and application build IT team.
We are looking for a motivated contractor. This position is long-term. Candidates need tbe fluent in English.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Work with Business/Data analyst, Data engineers to understand the business requirements;
- Create Test Plans, Test Cases and review the business analyst the scenarios and test cases;
- Execute test cases and identify bugs and issues and report in bug tracking software (, Azure DevOps);
- Support UAT and post go live smoke testing;
- Follow appropriate incident, problem, change management, and project processes;
- Develop a strong understanding of the data landscape and the functionality to effectively test data movement from source to target;
- Review and understand the data integration workflows and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes;
- Write and execute SQL queries to validate the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of integrated data;
- Identify and report discrepancies, missing data, or errors in the integration process;
- Validate data mapping and transformations to ensure they align with business rules and requirements;
Profile:
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- +8 years experience in a development /testing role;
- Excellent analytical skills;
- Must be able to write complex SQL queries;
- Experience testing with Azure Databricks is a big plus, including ability to work with Python, PySpark;
- Must be well versed with different data models such as Data Marts, operational data stores, EDW ;
- Good experience with Data Analysis and ability to analyze the functional requirements and independently create test cases and associated test scripts;
- Experience creating and maintaining Test cases;
- Excellent communication skills and experience effectively communicating with technical and non-technical audiences;
- Fluent in English;
