About The Role
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to drive quality across our web, mobile, and AI-powered applications. In this role, you will own the testing strategy, ensure high product reliability, and build scalable QA practices across the engineering lifecycle.
You will work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to ensure features are thoroughly tested, automation coverage is strong, and releases meet high quality standards.
This role requires someone who can combine hands-on testing, automation expertise, system-level thinking, and business understanding to maintain quality in complex and evolving systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain QA strategy and test plans for end-to-end testing.
- Design and manage test data creation strategies for functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Perform and oversee manual testing for web and mobile applications.
- Lead regression testing cycles to ensure stability across releases.
- Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright/Selenium and Appium.
- Validate AI-powered features, ensuring response accuracy, edge-case handling, and system reliability.
- Conduct API testing and backend validations.
- Verify data integrity and analytics outputs using SQL queries.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
- Design test scenarios for concurrency, retries, rate limits, partial failures, and real-world usage conditions.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Track and prioritize defects using bug tracking tools.
- Collaborate with engineering teams throughout design, development, and release cycles.
- Work with product teams to clarify requirements, identify edge cases, and ensure feature completeness.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to improving QA processes and testing standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Strong experience in manual testing, including exploratory testing, regression testing, and release validation.
- Strong hands-on experience with test data creation and test scenario design.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright/Selenium and Appium.
- Experience testing web applications and backend services.
- Strong experience with API testing using tools like Postman or similar platforms.
- Solid knowledge of SQL for validating backend data and analytics outputs.
- Experience integrating tests with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
- Strong debugging skills using browser developer tools, logs, network inspection, and error tracing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
- Ability to identify edge cases, failure scenarios, and real-world system behaviours.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to review requirements and specifications with a QA mindset, identifying gaps, edge cases, and potential risks.
Good To Have (Preferred)
- Business Analyst mindset — ability to understand product workflows and convert requirements into test scenarios.
- Experience testing AI-powered or LLM-based systems.
- Understanding of AI response validation, hallucination detection, and non-deterministic system behaviour.
- Experience testing data pipelines, scraping systems, or data-heavy platforms.
- Experience with mobile testing tools such as Appium or BrowserStack.
- Experience building internal QA tools, dashboards, or testing utilities.
