Designation: Senior QA Engineer - Test Automation

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end test planning, test strategy and execution for complex features and releases
- Design and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios and exploratory test charters
- Perform functional, regression, system and UAT testing
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability cases
- Ensure test coverage across positive, negative, boundary and edge cases
- Actively participate in requirement reviews, design discussions and sprint planning/grooming
- Automation Exposure Contribute to test automation scripts for regression and smoke test suites
- Maintain, enhance existing automation frameworks (UI / API / Functional)
- Identify high-value test cases suitable for automation
- Review automation results and analyze failures to distinguish test vs product issues
- Collaborate with developers to improve testability of applications
- CI / JENKINS Collaboration Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (JENKINS or similar)
- Analyze CI test failures and provide feedback to teams
- Work closely with DevOps teams to improve build stability and test reliability
- Quality and Process Ownership
- Drive quality metrics test coverage, defect leakage and analyses, automation stability
- Continuously improve test processes, tools and workflows
Must have skills:
- Strong manual testing expertise
- Excellent knowledge of testing fundamentals, SDLC, and STLC
- Experience in test case design techniques
- Working experience with automation tools and frameworks
- Experience integrating tests with CI tools
- Ability to independently own testing for a product/module
- Comfortable challenging requirements, identifying gaps. Strong collaboration with Dev, Product and DevOps teams
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Exposure in API testing
- Working experience in FITNESSE Test framework and other Testing tools
