Job Description
Quiktrak is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior QA Engineer with over 8+ years of expertise in automation testing, primarily using Selenium with Java and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will oversee the testing process, mentor team members, ensure quality deliverables, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and high-quality software products.
Job Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead the QA team in designing, implementing, and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- Define QA strategies, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistent quality standards.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.
Automation Testing:
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable test automation scripts using Selenium with Java.
- Implement and manage BDD frameworks using Cucumber, ensuring collaboration with product and development teams for clear and concise feature specifications.
Test Planning & Execution:
- Analysed business requirements and create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Drive end-to-end testing for multiple projects, ensuring timely defect identification and resolution.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Participate in agile ceremonies like sprint planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups to align testing activities with project goals.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular reviews of test cases, scripts, and test execution results to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor and report on QA metrics, including test coverage, defects, and quality trends.
Tool & Process Improvement:
- Stay updated on emerging testing tools, technologies, and practices, and incorporate them into existing processes.
- Optimize and enhance the CI/CD pipeline with automated test integration.
Required Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation.
- Extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Proficiency in BDD frameworks such as Cucumber and integration with testing workflows.
- Proven experience leading QA teams and mentoring junior testers.
- Ability to drive process improvements and ensure team alignment with organizational objectives.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., Java, .net, Python, Ruby).
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments like AWS or Azure.
- ISTQB Certification or equivalent.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks, tools, and best practices.
- Experience in API testing and tools like Postman or RestAssured.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar.
- Good understanding of SQL for database validation.
Soft Skills Required:
- Fluency in English to interact effectively with US-based clients is a must.
- Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
- Consultative approach during internal and external discussions.
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Ability to impress customers and prospects with functional knowledge and understanding of their business.
- Ability to work effectively with offshore teams have necessary patience and understanding of cultural differences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
