About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer (Manual + Automation) with 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance across web applications and APIs. The ideal candidate is a fast learner who can quickly understand new products, work independently, and take ownership of end-to-end quality assurance through both manual and automated testing.

Experience in FinTech, Banking, or Financial Institution projects is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual and automated test strategies.
• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, integration, API, and cross-browser testing.
• Build, maintain, and execute automated test suites using modern automation frameworks.
• Validate REST APIs using Postman, including collections, environments, and automated test scripts.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution with clear and reproducible bug reports.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and release validation.
• Continuously improve QA processes, automation coverage, and testing efficiency.
• Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating and monitoring automated test execution.
  
  

Required SkillsManual Testing

• Strong expertise in manual testing methodologies.
• Test planning, test case design, exploratory testing, regression testing, and UAT support.
• Cross-browser and cross-platform testing experience.
• Excellent defect reporting and root cause analysis skills.
  
  

API Testing

• Hands-on experience with Postman.
• Expertise in API validation, collections, environments, and automated test scripts.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, authentication, and response validation.
  
  

Automation Testing

Hands-on Experience With One Or More Of The Following

• Playwright
• Cypress
• Selenium
• REST Assured
  
  

Experience With

• Test automation framework design and maintenance.
• Data-driven and reusable automation scripts.
• CI/CD integration for automated testing.
  
  

CI/CD & Tools

• Experience working with GitLab CI/CD.
• Knowledge of version control using Git.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on FinTech, Banking, NBFC, Payments, Insurance, or Financial Institution projects.
• Understanding of financial workflows, transactions, compliance, and data validation.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools to accelerate test creation, maintenance, and validation.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
