We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with 7–8 years of experience in both Manual and Automation Testing to join our Healthcare Product team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience testing enterprise web applications, APIs, and AI-enabled features. Beyond individual execution, the candidate should be comfortable dividing work across the QA team, guiding and coaching junior engineers, and being capable of independently owning QA activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality product releases.
Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements and prepare test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Sanity, System, and End-to-End testing.
- Execute comprehensive regression testing for every release.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automation scripts for web applications.
- Perform API testing and API automation.
- Validate backend data using SQL queries.
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects using Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, Data Team, AI Team, and Business Analysts.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and release activities.
- Divide and allocate testing work across the QA team based on release priorities and individual strengths.
- Guide junior and mid-level QA engineers on test design, automation practices, and defect investigation.
- Coach team members to strengthen their manual and automation testing skills and support their career development.
- Review test cases, automation scripts, and defect reports to ensure quality and consistency.
- Act as the point of escalation for the QA team on technical blockers and lead through hands-on ownership.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of STLC, SDLC, and Defect Life Cycle.
- Expertise in Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Sanity, UAT, and End-to-End Testing.
- Experience in writing and executing detailed test cases.
- Strong understanding of release validation and production verification.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Strong programming knowledge in Java or Python.
- Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks (POM, Data-Driven, Hybrid, or BDD).
- Experience with TestNG/JUnit and Maven/Gradle.
- CI/CD integration using Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Strong experience with Postman for API validation.
- API automation using Rest Assured or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of SQL for backend data validation.
- Experience working on Healthcare or Healthcare Support applications.
- Knowledge of patient workflows, provider workflows, care coordination, and healthcare support processes.
- Experience validating AI/GenAI features such as patient summaries, email summaries, chat responses, AI recommendations, and classification models is highly preferred.
- Understanding of healthcare data privacy and compliance (HIPAA awareness is a plus).
- 7–9 years of Software QA experience.
- Strong expertise in both Manual and Automation Testing.
- Experience testing enterprise web applications and REST APIs.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to independently own end-to-end QA activities.
