Senior QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated tests for web applications.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks using Java or C#.
• Perform in-sprint automation aligned with Agile delivery.
• Identify test scenarios and write test cases and scripts based on complex requirements.
• Conduct various testing types: Sanity, Functional, Integration, Exploratory, System.
• Perform manual testing for Web and Windows-based applications as needed.
• Prepare and maintain Test Strategy, Test Plans, and Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM).
• Create and share detailed test reports and communicate risks effectively.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Set up and configure automation test suites and test runners in VM environments.
• Use tools like POSTMAN, REST Assured, and SOAP UI for API testing.

Technical Skills Required

• Expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, SpecFlow, BDD, Protractor.
• Hands-on experience in programming with C#, Java, or Python.
• Solid SQL skills ability to write medium-complex queries (joins, sub-queries).
• Proficient with version control tools like Git.
• Experience with test and defect management tools like JIRA, TFS/MTM, Bugzilla, ALM.
• Understanding of JSON, XML, REST APIs and hands-on in web service testing.

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to Performance testing and Security testing.
• Prior experience working with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) is a plus.

Methodology & Domain Knowledge

• Familiarity with SDLC and STLC.
• Working experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
